1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser. They are used to remember information about your session, preferences, and authentication state. Chyra uses a minimal number of cookies, all of which are essential for the service to function.

3. What We Do NOT Use

  • No third-party tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking service.
  • No advertising cookies. We do not serve ads or use cookies for ad targeting.
  • No social media cookies. We do not embed social media trackers.
  • No localStorage for sensitive data. Access tokens are stored in memory only and never persisted to browser storage.

4. Session Storage

When viewing a shared document link, we use the browser's session storage (not cookies) to store a temporary view identifier. This allows us to track viewing duration accurately and prevents duplicate view counts. Session storage is automatically cleared when you close the browser tab.

5. Managing Cookies

Since all cookies used by Chyra are essential for the service to function, disabling them will prevent you from logging in or using the platform. You can manage cookies through your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies
  • Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies
  • Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings > Cookies and Site Permissions

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if we introduce new cookies or change how existing ones are used. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
